Fixed Term full‑time (37.5 hours per week) until 31 October 2026. Salary £25,837.50 per annum.

Summary

We’re looking for a Campsite Assistant to work at Wasdale and Eskdale Campsites. This role is all about making sure that visitors have their best possible experience of an outdoor holiday with the National Trust. Internally, within the National Trust, you’ll be known as an “Outdoors Holidays Operations Assistant”.

Accommodation is provided to the postholder for the proper or better performance of their duties in accordance with Trust criteria and HMRC rules.

Contract duration: Fixed term until 31 October 2026

Working pattern: Your hours will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Shifts can be 9‑5, 10‑6 or 11‑7, plus on‑call duties four days per week.

No CV required; you will complete an online assessment to help us understand your strengths.

Responsibilities will include keeping the campsite and bunkhouse clean, well‑maintained and welcoming, reporting any repairs, greeting and assisting guests, handling bookings and enquiries, and running the campsite shop when needed.
