Job Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic occupational therapist to join our dynamic Therapy Services Team across the Barnet and Chase Farm Hospital sites, Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.

Rotations

  • Trauma & Orthopaedics
  • Respiratory, including ITU and surgery
  • Health Services for Elderly People, including medical specialities
  • Emergency department and same day emergency units
  • Acute neurology, including neuro outliers

Responsibilities

Manage your own clinical caseload, supported by highly skilled Band 6 and Band 7 staff. Supervise therapy support workers as appropriate. Carry out complex occupational therapy assessments of functional ability, cognition, home situation and psychosocial issues. Work as a key member of a large multidisciplinary team and support patients in the best interests of their recovery.

Qualifications

  • Registered Occupational Therapist
  • Experience as Band 5 is desirable; Band 6 experience preferred.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and CPD.
  • Ability to participate in a 7‑day working roster and bank holiday cover.
