Key Responsibilities:
As a Year 5 SEN Teaching Assistant with Academics, you will play a vital role in helping a child with Autism by:
* Providing one-on-one support to the student, tailored to their specific needs.* Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to create and implement individualized learning plans.* Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that fosters the child’s academic and personal development.* Assisting the child with Autism in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.* Monitoring and recording the child’s progress and behavior, while offering consistent support and encouragement.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you should possess:
* Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with children who have Autism.* A compassionate and patient approach to supporting children with special educational needs.* Effective communication and teamwork skills.* A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.* A relevant educational qualification or equivalent experience.
