About The Role

We’re seeking experienced E&I Technicians to join multiple Tier 1 projects supporting critical Australian energy infrastructure across Queensland, South Australia, and the Northern Territory. These roles will play a key part in the delivery, installation, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems across high-profile Oil & Gas projects.

You will play a hands‑on role in delivering critical infrastructure, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficient execution. These FIFO positions use a 3:1 or 2:2 roster.

Responsibilities

  • Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems
  • Maintain and repair electrical equipment including panels, drives, and motor control centres
  • Perform loop checks, commissioning, and testing of instrumentation systems
  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance across E&I systems
  • Diagnose faults across PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems
  • Interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and loop diagrams
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, testing, and calibration activities
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with safety standards, procedures, and permit systems

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in an E&I or similar role within oil & gas, energy, or mining
  • Unrestricted Electrical Licence
  • Instrumentation qualification (highly regarded)
  • Experience working with process control systems and instrumentation calibration
  • Strong understanding of hazardous area environments (EHHA)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Solid knowledge of electrical safety, isolations, and permit-to-work systems
  • Current driver’s licence and White Card
