Teachers – Alternative Provision / SEMH

Location: Wolverhampton AreaHours: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible – Daily emergency cover and long-term roles availableSalary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Role

As a teacher in an alternative provision setting, you will be responsible for delivering a personalised and supportive learning experience to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs
• Foster a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Implement strategies to support behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development
• Work collaboratively with support staff, leadership teams, and external professionals
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching approaches to meet individual needs

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified teacher with a QTS qualification or equivalent
• Experience teaching students with SEMH, complex needs, or SEND
• Knowledge and experience of managing behaviours that challenge
• Calm, patient, and resilient approach to teaching and classroom management
• Reliable, flexible, and available for daily emergency cover as well as long-term assignments
