Availability Window

We expect you to be available during the following periods to schedule your contracted hours: Sundays from 10:00 pm to 5:30 am, Mondays from 10:00 pm to 5:30 am, and Saturdays from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. You will receive at least three weeks notice of your exact shift times. We offer flexibility, so if your schedule closely matches these windows we would still love to hear from you.

Pay

Hourly pay starts at £13.28, rising to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may apply based on location. We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; a minimum of 12 hours is also acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Serve shoppers by offering hospitality and support throughout the store.
  • Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas.
  • Apply training to work safely and effectively, delivering excellent customer service.
  • Make customer‑focused decisions and execute store routines that meet customer needs on time.
  • Take part in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
  • Understand store performance and work with the team to drive service, sales, reduce waste and shrink, and deliver profit.
  • Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure delivery to customers in the best condition.
  • Live Tesco values, make everyone feel welcome, and follow policies.
  • Accept deliveries into the store when required.
  • Show enthusiasm for delivering great service, greet customers with a smile, and serve them with pride.
  • Build rapport with customers to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Take initiative and make decisions that are right for customers.

Requirements

PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST BE OVER 18 TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE.

Applicants must be over 18 if the role requires work before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm, or involves work in areas such as the warehouse, beers, wines and spirits, counters, bakery, or driving roles.
