Role: Design and Technology ECT, full-time

Start: September 2026

Salary: MPS (ECT scale)

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, practical Design and Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Teach a range of DT disciplines (e.g., product design, resistant materials, or graphics).
• Support students in developing creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills.
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress to support achievement.
• Work closely with an experienced mentor and supportive department.
• Contribute to a safe and stimulating workshop/classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending QTS (ECT).
• A degree in Design and Technology or a related subject.
• A passion for practical, creative teaching and learning.
• Strong classroom management and willingness to develop professionally.
• A positive, proactive, and reflective approach to teaching.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
