Summary

As a Ranger, you’re a champion of nature conservation and the great outdoors, and you’ll play a crucial role in keeping the nation’s beloved countryside and coast in good shape, for wildlife and for people.

Salary: £27,612 per annum

Contract: Fixed Term (full‑time 37.5 hrs per week until 31/03/28)

Hours & Working Pattern: Full‑time; willing to work weekends, bank holidays, evenings, and be on call.

What it’s like to work here

You’ll ensure the conservation work and outdoor experiences on the land in your care are of the highest standard. You’ll build relationships in the local community and represent the Trust, informing people about the work and the team.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll help protect and care for habitats, wildlife, buildings and machinery. You’ll share knowledge and enthusiasm with the public, engaging them whenever you encounter people.

Who we’re looking for

  • Practically experienced in conservation work, protecting and improving habitats and landscapes.
  • Capable of talking to all kinds of people about the work and its importance.
  • Hard‑working and willing to learn.
  • Able to work safely, using risk assessments and following guidelines.
  • Experienced in managing land, access, and conservation, and working outdoors.
  • Able to use machinery and equipment, with relevant certificates.
  • Holder of a full UK driving licence.
