Year 5 Teacher – Permanent, Full‑time from September 2026

Duties as Year 5 Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging Year 5 lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom environment
- Support pupils’ academic progress and preparation for the demands of upper Key Stage 2
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs
- Differentiate learning to support pupils with a range of abilities, including SEND
- Maintain clear routines and high expectations for behaviour and learning
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum planning and consistency
- Contribute to inclusive practice across the school, drawing on SENCO expertise where applicable
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers as required
- Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
Ideal Year 5 Teacher:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
- Qualified SENCOs are welcomed and encouraged to apply
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching and SEND support
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- Organised, reflective, and committed to high‑quality teaching
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
