Folder Operator – East Midlands – £Competitive Package

Our client, one of the leading players in the industry it serves, helps a number of household names deliver engaging communications to maximize the customer experience.

Eligibility: Resident in the United Kingdom with recent experience in the print, packaging or paper sectors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct job is on the machine – code/version etc.
• Obtain an “OK To Proceed” from the Folding Cell Leader or Finishing BUC once make-ready is completed.
• Monitor and maintain quality of work produced.
• Make adjustments to maintain quality and output.
• Maintain optimum machine output speed.
• Keep the machine area in good order.
• Efficiently utilise any machine staff provided.
• Complete all documentation as required by ISO 9001.
• Pass on all relevant information to subsequent shifts.
• Report breakdowns or abnormalities immediately and be fully conversant with all applicable Health & Safety procedures.
• Leave the machine in a safe and tidy condition; give coaching and guidance where required.
• Provide support and assistance across other Folding machines when required.
• Ensure daily and monthly preventative maintenance is carried out and related forms are completed.
• Carry out stock checks on machine parts and re-order where necessary.
• Report when targets are not met or are unachievable.
• Maintain lean manufacturing standards.
• Ensure a comprehensive shift handover is completed.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds or equivalent.
• Literate and numerate.
• Full understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
