We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join our welcoming and supportive primary school in Reading. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed Year 6 Teacher who is passionate about preparing pupils for the transition to secondary school and achieving strong end‑of‑year outcomes.
The successful Year 6 Teacher will begin after the May half term, with a paid trial day taking place on Thursday 7th May. This will give you the opportunity to experience the school environment, meet the team, and showcase your teaching skills in a real classroom setting.
Role Details:
- Position: Year 6 Teacher (full‑time)
- Location: Reading
- Start Date: After May half term
- Trial Day: Thursday 7th May (paid)
- Pay: Competitive daily rate for the trial, with a salary aligned to MPS/UPS depending on experience for the ongoing role
We are looking for a Year 6 Teacher who:
- Has strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management
- Is committed to raising attainment and supporting pupils of all abilities
- Works collaboratively with colleagues and parents
