The role of Litigation Support Officer
- Preparing, compiling, and paginating evidence bundles for court hearings (electronic and paper-based)
- Liaising with counsel, including booking and coordinating for hearings
- Ensuring timely distribution of case papers and instructions
- Arranging printing and couriering of legal documents and bundles
- Attending Employment Tribunals to take accurate notes
- Maintaining organised and up-to-date case files and records
- Monitoring deadlines and ensuring timely submission of documents
- Communicating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Supporting document review, formatting, and redaction using Microsoft Office and Adobe tools
The ideal Litigation Support Officer
- Previous experience within a legal setting — essential
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience using Adobe Acrobat (editing, redaction, bundling)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Teams
- Excellent time management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience in an administrative, legal support, or case management role
Temporary position for 1 year with possible extension, based at St James Park. Hybrid working is introduced after the initial training period.
