This is an exciting time to be joining our team based in Liverpool and being involved in supporting the port activities as a port operative. Our comprehensive range of port services, including ropehandling, cargo loading/discharging and terminal management, has been pivotal in supporting the port and logistics sectors
This is a flexible opportunity and you may be requested to work day, evening and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with vessel load/discharge including cargo and passengers ships
- Working as a slinger banksman
- Traffic marshal duties
Qualifications
- Be at least 21 years old for insurance purposes
- Have a full driving licence
- Have valid Forklift and Telehandling tickets/licence
- Have a minimum of 12 months can driving experience (in order to comply with our insurance) with no more than 6 points on the driving licence and no drink driving disqualifications.
- Smart appearance.
Successful candidates will be expected to attend Health and Safety Induction and a car driving assessment. You will be subject to Identification checks, referencing and DVLA checks.
Competitive payment of £14.29 – £17.37 inclusive of holiday accrual and dependant on role
