Overview

We are seeking trustees with leadership and management experience to join our friendly team to drive the charity forward. We work with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism to access social activities to support their health and wellbeing.

Qualifications

  • Leadership and management experience.
  • Commitment and enthusiasm for SAP and its members.
  • Personal, professional, or volunteer experience with learning disabilities and/or autism is not necessary, but a willingness to spend time with our members to understand their needs is important.
  • Skills in keeping meetings and discussions focused and on track.
  • Ability to work well in a small, collaborative team environment with interest or experience in governance, marketing, finance or fundraising.
  • A commitment to equality of opportunity.

Location

Hybrid.

Responsibilities

SAP is looking for new trustees to join our board to support existing trustees. The organization has identified a number of skill gaps and would like to improve its governance. Several trustee roles are available, including secretary, and individuals with expertise in safeguarding, finance, HR, and marketing are sought. We would welcome a Chair to lead us.

Other Information

We became a CIO in 2022, after operating as a community group since 1995. This background informs our focus on governance and service delivery.
