We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as a Support Worker. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive practical and emotional support to young people aged 16‑18, helping them transition successfully into independent living.
Responsibilities
- Assist young people in developing essential life skills such as budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and managing personal appointments.
- Provide guidance and encouragement related to education, training, and employment opportunities.
- Advocate for the young people’s needs and liaise effectively with external agencies and stakeholders.
- Collaborate to implement individual support plans, ensuring a safe, stable, and nurturing environment.
- Offer emotional support and foster resilience in young people, promoting their overall well‑being and personal growth.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will demonstrate empathy, strong communication skills, and a commitment to empowering young people. Previous experience in a similar support role, particularly with adolescents, would be highly beneficial. NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is desirable.
