Specialised Cardiac Physiologist with interest in CRM to join busy Device Service at Good Hope Hospital, part of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.
Based at Good Hope Hospital, the role involves all aspects of the CRM Service including device implant, follow‑up, Conduction System Pacing and S‑ICD, and diagnostic cardiac physiology such as angiography, exercise tolerance testing, and Holter analysis.
Training will be provided to support progression to BHRS/IBHRE Accreditation.
Responsibilities
- Perform specialised Cardiac Physiology investigations and interventions including advanced physiological testing during pacemaker, CRT‑P and ICD/CRT‑D implantation and follow‑up, analysis of complex data, and device optimisation.
- Conduct a broad range of clinical investigations: resting ECG performance and interpretation; physiologist‑led exercise tolerance testing; Holter application, analysis, including complex implantable devices; cardiac catheterisation (including complex cases); permanent pacemaker and implantable loop recorder implantation and follow‑up; assist with physiologist‑led tilt testing.
- Actively work toward BHRS/IBHRE Accreditation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Essential: Cardiac Physiologist with relevant experience; see attached documents for specific qualifications required.
- Essential: Experience with device implant procedures and diagnostic cardiac physiology.
Pay and Contract
Band 6: £39,959.00 – £48,117.00 annually. Permanent contract, full‑time, flexible working. Reference number 304‑9015369.
