Delivery Driver

Our Distribution team is now looking for a van driver to support the Dispatch department in our Knightsbridge store. As a Harrods’ Dispatch driver, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring prompt delivery of customer orders and proactively addressing any inquiries or concerns during deliveries. This position works shifts between 8am–9pm, 5 out of 7 days of the week with regular weekend work, and a weekly rotation.

About the Role

• Safely and efficiently operate a company‑provided dispatch van to deliver and pick up goods to and from various locations.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes using GPS and company‑provided technology to meet strict delivery deadlines.
• Load and unload the van carefully, ensuring that all items are securely packed and organised to prevent damage during transit.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues or damage immediately to management.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including signing for packages and obtaining signatures from recipients.
• Communicate effectively with the dispatch team, customers, and other staff members to resolve any delivery issues or delays.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service during every interaction.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Keep the vehicle clean and organised, both inside and out.

About You

• Valid UK driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a van driver, delivery driver, or a similar role.
• Familiarity with local streets, neighbourhoods, and routes in the London area.
• Excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy packages up to 25kg and to handle repetitive tasks.
• Positive attitude and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
