Job Description:

Our client based in the Havant area is looking to recruit an experienced Assembly Operator to join their team. When you join them, you will be integrated into a cooperative and encouraging team, participate in challenging yet critical work, and experience ongoing growth opportunities to help you achieve your full potential.

Monday – Friday, 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm alternating weekly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on the assembly line within cleanrooms to combine parts and components.
  • Inspect the product and identify and report any defects to ensure only products that meet the required specifications move on to the next manufacturing stage.
  • Build products on the assembly line according to customer specific technical drawings, instructions, or schematics.
  • Competent in making all required assemblies in the range.
  • Capable of working with a complex range of products.
  • Understand the special importance of product quality, safety and performance for their application within manufacturing processes.
  • Inspect the assembled products for any faults or defects and report any issues immediately to the supervisor in the area.
  • Report incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfections on the assembly line to your Supervisor for further exploration.
  • Move materials and components between workstations, safely handling waste materials and finished products to maintain a tidy and organised cleanroom.
  • Assist with the daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning operations within the cleanroom environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all company health and safety rules and regulations at all times, including contributing to any company health and safety initiatives and activities.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience of working on an assembly line and following manual assembly techniques for products.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure the accurate assembly of products and strict adherence to specifications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring that assembly line output is aligned to cycle times.
