Job Description:

Harrods Lakeside, England, United Kingdom

Assistant Manager

We’re currently looking for an Assistant Manager to join our welcoming and close‑knit H Beauty team in Lakeside.

Harrods is bringing more magic, innovation, and theatre to the beauty market through our H Beauty standalone stores across the UK. H Beauty is no normal beauty hall, with a champagne bar, blow‑dry bar, interactive playtables to try on the latest products, a Harrods gift shop, and a big pink bear for your Instagram pictures; we are focussed on the experience customers have when they walk through our doors.

About the Role

As an exceptional leader, you will be responsible for building an exceptional team. You will work to achieve and deliver our business vision of the “Art of the Possible” in the beauty world. You’ll inspire your team to take pride in operational processes including visual standards and back‑of‑house.

Being a relationship‑led manager, you will spot talent, bring in the right people to deliver the best service to our customers and beyond, with a passion for people development to create the managers of tomorrow.

You will also collaborate with your Sales Manager and other business functions to coordinate and manage exciting projects.

In return, you’ll enjoy a package that includes 22 days’ holiday, your birthday off, double time on bank holidays, up to 33% Harrods discount (including our restaurants), plus joining our pension scheme.

About You

You will have a strong retail management background (beauty industry experience desirable but not essential) and a proven track record of leading large teams. You will be a relationship‑led leader, ensuring all colleagues feel valued and included and helping your team be their best. Communication doesn’t stop with your team; you will actively seek constructive feedback for continuous improvement from business stakeholders.

  • Be a relationship‑led manager who likes being on the floor with your colleagues helping your team be their best.
  • Be resilient; actively seek constructive feedback for continuous improvement from your store stakeholders.
  • Be self‑aware and comfortable operating in ambiguity; it’s a new concept, we are evolving as we work.
  • Have an appreciation of and adherence to operational and safety standards.
  • Be experienced in creative presentation of products or services.
