Overview
The council in Dorset are seeking a qualified Environmental Health Officer to support the Food team, with a primary focus on:
- Food-related complaint investigations
- Health & Safety complaint work
There may also be a requirement to carry out food hygiene inspections as part of complaint investigations, so candidates must hold the appropriate food competencies.
Responsibilities
- Undertake food-related complaint investigations
- Handle Health & Safety complaint work
- Where required, carry out food hygiene inspections as part of complaint investigations
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant Environmental Health / Food Safety role
- Food competency to undertake inspections where required
- EHRB registration (or equivalent / successor), ideally
- Up-to-date CPD and professional competencies
- A thorough, professional approach to complaint handling and enforcement investigations
