Responsibilities
- The role of Markets Operative will provide excellent customer service to all users of the market service and ensuring any queries are dealt with in a professional and effective manner and includes the driving of Liverpool City Council vehicles up to and including 7.5 tonne (C1 licence required) alongside the completion of necessary paperwork and the safe compliant use of the vehicle.
- As a Markets Operative you will provide a supporting role across all Liverpool City Council markets service (Liverpool Markets) sites and events. This will include driving, loading and unloading market vehicles, alongside the build and takedown of market stalls/cabins. You will also ensure the market site is clean at all times, waste removed and high level of customer service is offered at all times.
- Role includes the safe loading and unloading of Liverpool markets equipment onto vehicles alongside set up and take down of market stalls/cabins and equipment on arrival at market sites indoor and outdoor.
- As part of the role of Markets Operative ensure the high‑quality cleaning of designated areas across market sites and event sites, alongside the removal of waste in line with Liverpool City Council procedures and COSHH guidelines as well as use of forklift truck when required in line with required standards and compliance.

Qualifications
Driving licence: C1 licence required. Vehicle capacity up to 7.5 tonne. Forklift usage required. Ability to follow COSHH guidelines. Successful completion of necessary paperwork and safe compliant vehicle use.
