The team operates as a market-making desk, managing client flow, optimising execution, and maintaining tight spreads across a broad range of instruments. You will join a collaborative, high-performing team of eight dealers who work closely with technology, quantitative analytics, and product teams across London, Melbourne, Frankfurt, Kraków, and Dubai.**Role Overview**As a Junior Dealer, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of IG’s flow trading book. You will monitor live positions, manage risk within defined parameters, and ensure high-quality pricing and execution for clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about financial markets and eager to develop a career in trading within a dynamic, technology-driven environment.**Key Responsibilities*** Monitor and manage intraday risk across FX, cryptocurrency, and index products, escalating issues promptly to senior dealers* Ensure accurate and competitive pricing by monitoring spreads, liquidity, and market conditions in real time* Support the execution and management of client flow, including hedging activity with external liquidity providers* Analyse client trading patterns and flow toxicity using internal tools and data to support risk management decisions* Assist in the onboarding and integration of new liquidity providers and prime brokerage relationships* Contribute to the development and testing of trading tools, pricing models, and automated execution systems* Collaborate with quantitative and technology teams on analytics projects including spread analysis, markout calculations, and Price-in-Size modelling* Produce regular reporting on trading desk performance, client activity, and market metrics* Support weekend and out-of-hours trading coverage as part of a shift rota, including cryptocurrency markets* Participate in ad-hoc projects related to new product launches, market expansion, and regulatory initiatives**Requirements****Essential*** Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent experience* Strong numerical and analytical skills with a genuine interest in financial markets* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment* Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and geographies* Willingness to work shift patterns including early mornings, late evenings, and occasional weekends**Desirable*** Prior experience or internship in a trading, broking, or market-making environment* Familiarity with FX, equity index, or cryptocurrency markets* Working knowledge of Python, SQL, or other data analysis tools* Understanding of derivatives pricing, CFDs, and spread betting products* Experience with Bloomberg, Reuters, or other market data platforms* Knowledge of financial services regulation (FCA, ESMA, or equivalent)**What We Offer*** Competitive salary and performance-based bonus* Comprehensive benefits package including private medical insurance, pension, and life assurance* Structured training and mentorship from experienced senior dealers* Exposure to a broad range of asset classes and global markets from day one* Opportunity to develop technical skills in Python, data analytics, and quantitative modelling* A collaborative, inclusive, and high-energy working environment* Career progression within a FTSE 250 listed, globally recognised financial services firm**Equal Opportunities**IG Group is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
