Powerstock Primary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic staff member to work alongside our existing Breakfast Club Supervisor. The school has been part of the Government’s Breakfast Club Early Adopters Scheme. The club is run successfully with many of our children regularly attending.

The successful candidate will work together with existing staff and be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Breakfast Club, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for all children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support children during breakfast time.
  • With the support of the Headteacher, plan and organise activities to engage children before the school day begins.
  • Ensure the safety and well‑being of all children in the club.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly environment.

Please see attached Job Description and Person Specification for more information.

Ideally, the successful candidate will also apply for our Midday Supervisor vacancy, which is being advertised concurrently. This role is for 5 days a week, 12:00pm – 1:30pm, and would complement the Breakfast Club Supervisor role well, offering additional hours and continuity of care for the pupils.

We are a small, busy and happy Church of England school nestled in the heart of the beautiful West Dorset countryside. At Powerstock School, we cherish our unique ‘smallness’ and take pride in ensuring that every child is cared for and valued as an individual. Our school is built on the values of Compassion, Perseverance, Respect, and Generosity, which are at the core of everything we do.

We can offer you a friendly and supportive team who support wellbeing for all. For an informal chat about the role, please contact Nick Harris, Headteacher on 01308 485380 or email office@powerstock.dorset.sch.uk
