Salary: £34,938 – £52,614 (Pro‑rata for part‑time)

About the School
St. Catherine’s is a Roman Catholic primary school built in 1966. The school serves a wide catchment area, welcoming families of many faiths and none. The pupil population is diverse, including children from Scottish, Eastern European, Asian and African families.
Community & Culture
The school operates as a Parish and Learning Community, with stakeholders actively involved in decision‑making and colleague development. An active Parent Council supports learning experiences and fundraising opportunities for pupils and families.
Role Overview
You will join the Teaching Team, line‑managed by the Head Teacher and supported by the Senior Management Team. The post is a fixed‑term appointment.
Responsibilities
• Seek approval of the Bishop of a Diocese for appointment to a Catholic School in the area.
Qualifications and Requirements
The preferred candidate will join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If the candidate has spent a continuous period of three months or more overseas within the last five years, an overseas criminal record check will be required and must be provided. An unconditional offer will be contingent on satisfactory completion of these checks.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
