West Coventry Academy is seeking to appoint a committed, passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity to support our pupils learning and make a real difference in their school experience.

Level 2: £25,185 – £26,403 FTE. Actual salary £19,368.96 – £20,305.69 per annum. Level 3: £25,989 – £29,540 FTE. Actual salary £19,987.30 – £22,718.25 per annum.

Start Date: 1st September 2026

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities
• Assist pupils with learning, ensuring they reach their full potential
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Support with preparation of resources and classroom management
• Contribute to pupil wellbeing and pastoral support
• The role will also include lunchtime supervision

Qualifications

• Strong numeracy and literacy skills are essential.
• Be enthusiastic and enjoy working with children.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
