This role is a Rare Tumour Manager position based in Scotland and Northern Ireland, responsible for owning the commercial strategy across the territory. The manager will build trust‑based relationships with healthcare professionals, drive treatment adoption through expert clinical engagement, and develop cross‑functional key account plans.
Key responsibilities include leading evidence‑based clinical discussions, building and improving referral networks, treatment pathways, and stakeholder involvement across accounts. The manager will analyse territory performance and customer insights to sharpen strategy, identify new business opportunities, and contribute market intelligence to shape brand direction. Compliance with regulations and ongoing therapeutic and commercial development are essential.
Who You Are
- You bring 10 or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, with at least 5 years in a sales or commercially focused role within rare oncology or a closely related rare disease field.
- You have a proven track record in successful drug launches and a strong ability to drive account ownership and revenue growth in complex, multidisciplinary environments.
- You have a strong understanding of payer policies, healthcare system structures, local care pathways, and decision‑making processes.
- You combine sound business acumen with excellent communication,selling, and negotiation skills, and a consistent record of deliveringresults.
- You demonstrate an omnichannel mindset with confidence in digitalengagement tools and virtual customer interactions.
- You are self‑directed, resilient, and driven by a commitment tocontinuous learning and high performance.
- You are willing to travel across your territory, including overnight stays,and to adapt your working hours to meet customer needs.
- Candidates can be based in Scotland or Northern Ireland but extensive experience working with the Scottish healthcare system is essential.
