Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Dorking, Surrey
Employment Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Salary: Paid to scale
Responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering tailored support for students with diverse learning needs.
- Foster an inclusive environment that encourages engagement and social interaction.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) effectively and track progress.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Maintain a positive and safe learning atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant, particularly with SEND pupils, is essential.
- A strong understanding of SEND frameworks and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
- Ability to provide two years of professional references.
- A valid Child and Adult DBS check is required.
- This is a temporary position unless stated otherwise.
