We are seeking a compassionate and reliable female Care & Support Worker to join our Retirement Living Service, supporting tenants overnight within a safe, welcoming, and community‑focused environment.

This role involves providing person‑centred care and support to older people, helping maintain their wellbeing, dignity, independence, and comfort throughout the night.

Duties include responding to call bells, carrying out welfare checks, administering medication, supporting with personal care, and maintaining accurate records.

The postholder will contribute to creating a calm and reassuring environment for tenants while working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards of care and support.

This is a 30‑hour per week role working on a two‑week rolling rota including overnight shifts.

Main duties of the role

Working night shifts from 9pm to 7am on a rotating two‑week pattern, you will support tenants with personal care, medication administration, welfare checks, emotional reassurance, and responding to emergencies or call bells.

The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a calm and compassionate approach to supporting older people overnight.

Experience working within care settings is essential.

Due to the nature of personal care provided, the postholder must be female in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Part 1.

Job responsibilities

Shift pattern

  • Week 1: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9pm–7am
  • Week 2: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 9pm–7am
