Scottish Power Energy Networks are looking for a Senior Layout Engineer to join them on an ongoing contract basis.

• Rate: Inside IR35, PAYE and Umbrella options available
• Hours: Full time Mon – Fri

Profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self‑motivated 132kV Substation Layout Senior Engineer with a strong background with AIS substation layout design and HV switchgear. Excellent skills using AutoCAD and good communication skills to work well within a team. Knowledge of relevant National Standards such as ENA and NG Technical specifications to be able to apply these to achieve a substation design to SPEN specifications.

Key Skills

Proficient at producing the following drawing types using their Excellent AutoCAD skills:

• 132kV Substation Layout Plans and Elevations.
• Electrical and Safety Clearance Drawings.
• Busbar Layouts and Busbar Clamp Schedules.
• Above and Below Ground Earthing Layouts and Detail Drawings.
• Good knowledge of all types of 132kV AIS equipment.
• Excellent 2D draughting skills using AutoCAD.
