Fire Alarm Service and Commissioning Engineer (SEL45890) – Location: Mobile, all work inside M25.
Overview
We have partnered with an FM Contractor that has been in the industry since 1986, with offices in London and Manchester and presence across Europe. They have recently expanded and, due to demand, are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service and Commissioning Engineer to join the team.
The role involves working on commercial fire alarm panels within corporate buildings throughout London.
Responsibilities
- Servicing and fault finding on large conventional fire alarm systems across large office and commercial environments.
- Commissioning and testing of fire alarm systems, including cause and effect testing.
- Programming fire alarm panels and completing full system commissioning and handover documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with BS5839 standards and current fire safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working on commercial fire alarm systems and controls panels.
- Experience with manufacturers such as Advanced, Gent, Notifier, Morley, Kentec or similar.
- Strong technical awareness to successfully fault find and commission fire alarm systems.
- UK driving licence.
- Currently live in the M25 area.
Salary & Benefits
£45–55k, 40‑hour week, company van – optional personal use, 21 days holiday (rising with 1 day per year), overtime rates 1.5x and 2x, call‑out rota 1‑5 with £100 retainer and 4‑hour minimum paid overtime.
