Food Technician

Location: Sefton, L23.

Type of work: Full time.

Start date: As soon as possible.

Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with lessons: helping sort materials, setting up equipment, and supporting students during lessons.
• Behaviour management: fostering a positive learning environment with good behaviour management.
• Practical work: assisting the food technology teacher with cleaning/preparing for the lesson, including assisting during practicals.
• Monitoring well-being: keeping an eye on students’ overall well-being and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members.
• Safeguarding: ensuring the safeguarding procedure is followed when required.

Requirements

• Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent (desirable).
• Previous experience working with young people.

To be eligible

• Hold Right to Work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide two professional references covering 24 months of work.
