Job Summary

Staffline is recruiting an HGV Class 1 Driver for a leading food distribution client based in Barnsley. The role involves delivering high‑quality confectionary goods to various locations across the UK.

Shift & Availability

Adhoc shifts across the week, including holidays and sickness. Occasional overtime on weekends.

Start Times

Between 4 am and 6 am.

Pay Rates (PAYE)

• Weekday: £16.95 P/H
• Saturday: £18.31 P/H
• Sunday: £19.49 P/H

Immediate starts available.

Responsibilities

• Perform Class 1 depot trunking work, delivering food products to various destinations across the UK.
• Ensure timely and safe transportation of goods, adhering to traffic and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to coordinate deliveries and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and complete necessary paperwork.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence, CPC certification and Tacho card.
• Proven experience as an HGV Class 1 driver with a solid driving record.
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance.
• Ability to work long shifts, averaging 11 + hours, with a flexible approach to start times.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
