About the Department
Our Maintenance team is responsible for the daily operation, upkeep and presentation of our stadium and surrounding facilities, ensuring that supporters, players, hospitality guests and staff experience a safe, professional and high-quality environment at every visit. The team plays a critical role in both matchday and non-matchday operations and works collaboratively across the Club to deliver exceptional standards.
About the Role
As Stadium Plumber, you will be responsible for carrying out all plumbing-related planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the stadium footprint, including our 28,500-seat stadium, retail areas and fan zones.
Working as part of the wider multi-skilled maintenance team, you will support the day‑to‑day upkeep of the stadium and wider facilities, while also assisting with matchday preparation and operational activities. This is a varied and hands‑on role where no two days are the same.
Key responsibilities include:
- Service, repair and maintain plumbing and heating systems across Club sites.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to reactive repairs and breakdowns.
- Fault finding, analysis and repair of plumbing systems and associated equipment.
- Installation, upgrade and alteration work as required.
- Support maintenance activities across commercial kitchens, washrooms and drainage systems.
- Maintain and repair heating systems including radiators and associated equipment.
- Support with general maintenance tasks including painting, basic carpentry and repairs to fixtures and fittings.
- Assist with stadium preparation before home fixtures and events.
- Attend and support all home matches and Club events.
- Deliver a high level of customer service and technical expertise.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety procedures.
About the Person
We are looking for someone who is practical, reliable and adaptable, with a proactive approach and strong problem‑solving skills. You will be comfortable working independently while also contributing positively within a team environment.
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in Plumbing or Mechanical Services.
- Previous experience in plumbing and general maintenance environments.
- Knowledge of building services and maintenance activities.
- DIY and general maintenance skills.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively across different teams and departments.
- Flexible approach with a willingness to support wider maintenance activities where required.
