Volunteer Football Coach

Suffolk Refugee Support are passionate about improving the physical and mental health and wellbeing of the people we work with. They run a range of healthy activities for refugees and asylum seekers, including sports groups and wellbeing outings, as well as advice, workshops and referrals to health partners.

They partner with the Ipswich Town Foundation and have been visited by a number of Ipswich Town first team players past and present.

They are looking for a volunteer football coach to support football sessions. You’ll be part of a friendly and dedicated team, coaching young asylum seekers and refugees

• Attend regular weekly football sessions in Ipswich
• Lead informal kickabouts
• Lead fun workouts and drills
• Organise teams and games
• Prioritise safeguarding, confidentiality and GDPR
• Uphold Suffolk Refugee Support Aims and Values
• Commit to Suffolk Refugee Support policies and procedures
• Able to attend weekly sessions on Monday evenings
• Experience in football coaching, or a keen, experienced player
• Awareness and understanding of issues affecting people seeking asylum or who have refugee status
