Hourly rate: £26.51 (unqualified)* or £27.68 (qualified)* inclusive of holiday pay.
*The base hourly rate is £17.10 (unqualified) / £17.86 (qualified) per hour, plus payment for holiday and preparation and marking time, which gives an approximate hourly rate of £26.51 (unqualified) / £27.68 (qualified) per hour.
Location: Sim Balk Lane campus
About the role
We require an outstanding Tutor to join our experienced science and biology team, teaching biology on our science courses from September 2026. You will work in modern biology laboratories with specialist technicians and collaborate with the wider science team.
We offer support to develop your career and the opportunity to teach on a wide range of biology courses, including A level, Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma, Access to Higher Education, HND and apprenticeships.
About the person
You will be an enthusiastic, student‑centred teacher with a passion for biology.
This post is suitable for experienced teachers or those starting their career. Applicants must hold a biology or related degree qualification together with an appropriate teaching qualification. Candidates without a teaching qualification but with suitable alternative experience in industry or higher education may be considered, and support to gain a qualification will be offered.
