CNC Miller – Programmer/ Setter/ Operator

We are seeking an experienced and skilled CNC Miller – Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our growing team within a precision engineering environment.

This is a hands‑on role where you will take ownership of programming, setting, and running CNC milling machines, ensuring high‑quality production, efficiency, and on‑time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Programme, set, and operate CNC milling machines, including:
  • Bridgeport Vertical Mills (Heidenhain controls)
  • Haas Mills (Fanuc controls)
• Coordinate all programming and setting activities, working collaboratively with other setters
• Support 2nd operations machinery when required, including:
  • Thread rollers, grinding machines, drill banks, deburring tools, torque testers, and more
• The CNC Miller will carry out first‑off inspections and in‑process checks for both 1st and 2nd operations
• Work with a variety of materials including aluminium, stainless steels, and Inconel
• Ensure all products meet compliance standards
• The CNC Machinist will complete daily maintenance and cycle time documentation
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment

CNC Miller/ CNC Machinist – Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines – Flexible on CNC Branding Machines
• Must have experience in Fanuc and Heidenhain Controls
• Strong working knowledge of 3 & 4 Axis Milling Machines
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Excellent measurement and inspection skills using a range of metrology tools
