The Homes team have recently gone through a restructure, as we have refocused our energy and changed our processes so we can better support our customers and do what matters to them most. As a result, we have a number of exciting new roles which have become available.

We have an exciting position available for a Greenspace Operative to join us!

You’ll undertake a wide range of maintenance and associated tasks across Greenspace services on all One Manchester owned and managed properties. The role involves carrying out Greenspace maintenance works at both tenanted and vacant properties, supporting the upkeep, improvement, and presentation of external environments across the portfolio.

You’ll carry out Greenspace work with a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service, working to a ‘Right First Time’ approach by completing tasks in a single visit wherever practicable, while maintaining consistently high standards of quality, performance, and workmanship.

You’ll undertake a wide range of maintenance and associated tasks across Greenspace services on all One Manchester owned and managed properties, working across both tenanted and vacant homes.

What We’re Looking For

  • NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards
  • Full UK driving licence, with the ability to tow a trailer and operate plant, or willingness to work towards
  • PA1/PA6 spraying certification, or willingness to work towards obtaining it.
  • Working knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation, including COSHH.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing role, delivering high standards of customer service.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to emergencies and use own initiative.
