Safety Officer / ECO

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance of operations with Workplace Safety and Health/Environmental Control regulations and statutory requirements
• Assist on incident/accident investigation
• Responsible for daily inspection and toolbox meeting
• Ensure that supervisors and workers are following safe work procedures and compliance
• Assist WSHO to organize monthly Safety Committee meetings and put up safety reports, including safety issues
• Compiles all relevant reports and records and carry out daily safety inspection
• Good communication skills to liaise with associates, clients, and government authorities
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned

Qualifications

• Possess a Certificate in Safety Coordinators Course from approved institutes
• Previous experience in LTA project an advantage

Either one of the following:

• Min 5 years’ experience/registration as an Environmental Control Officer (ECO), or;
• Min 2 years’ experience/registration as an Earth Control Measures Officer (ECMO)
