Employment Details
As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply so that pay is not affected. This post is part‑time, and the salary will be pro‑rata.
Responsibilities
Responsible for providing a range of domestic services within Clinical / Non Clinical Departments throughout all areas of the Hospitals and Health Centres ensuring compliance with quality standards, Health & Safety, control of infection, Audit Scotland and HAI task force requirements, National Cleaning Services Specification and other requirements as specified by the Division.
Requirements
Applicants must have a PVG Scheme membership or record for the relevant regulatory group (child and/or adult). If not a current PVG member, an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before appointment.
Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check than is currently the case. If the post is assessed as a “regulated role”, appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
Applicants must have the relevant permission to work in the United Kingdom as required by UK Visa and Immigration Service.
