About Oakley House
Oakley House is a residential service that supports up to 8 people with Autism, learning disabilities and mental health. We support people to gain confidence and do the things that are important to them, ultimately leading happy and fulfilled lives. We put a strong emphasis on community integration and supporting people to progress onto supported living.
Oakley House has 8 en‑suite bedrooms and 1 external studio flat. There is a communal lounge, kitchen and dining area. The service has a therapeutic garden set up, designed to meet the physical, psychological and social needs of the people we support.
Oakley House is within walking distance of St Neots town, which has various amenities such as a bowling alley, museum, library, local parks and shops. It is also very close to transport links to Cambridge and Oxford.
As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day‑to‑day support and routine of the people within the service including:
- Day‑to‑day support and routine of the people we support.
- Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
- Supporting and encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
- Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administering medication.
- Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
- Assisting with personal care as required.
- Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.
- Providing guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
Experience within the care sector is not needed as we offer full training, coaching and development
