As Senior Buyer for Professional Services & Marketing, you will manage a varied supplier portfolio spanning events & exhibitions, consultancy, legal, HR, training and more, and play a key part in supporting some of the world’s most innovative engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead procurement activity across Professional Services and Marketing, from strategy through to delivery.
- Support major global engineering and business projects through effective supplier and commercial management.
- Drive supplier performance by challenging on cost, service, lead times, and innovation, while ensuring quality and reliability.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, securing strong commercial outcomes and managing renewals to maximise long‑term value.
- Deliver strategic projects, supporting leadership on cost reduction, process improvement and longer‑term planning.
- Manage the supply base, maintaining strong market intelligence and acting as Lead Buyer for your categories.
- Collaborate across the business, working closely with IT, Finance, HR, Engineering, Events and Marketing teams to deliver successful outcomes.
Required Skills
- Proven procurement experience, ideally within Professional Services and/or Marketing categories.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical, commercially aware, and confident working with data.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment and enjoy working on high‑profile projects.
- CIPS qualification (or working towards one) is an advantage but not essential.
