Materials Technician

Overview

Rullion, a leading recruitment business, is acting as a contractor to recruit a Materials/Warehouse Technician for a nuclear generation client at Torness, Scotland. The role supports safe stock management and maintenance operations.

Role responsibilities

• Receipt and inspection of spares and materials, reviewing documentation for specification compliance.
• Issue and return of spare parts and materials.
• Cycle counting and warehouse parts life management.
• General warehouse duties, interacting with goods deliveries and collections.
• Use of forklift trucks for parts management and logistics.
• Undertake necessary admin tasks.

Qualifications & skills

• Experience working in a parts warehouse/logistics environment.
• Ability to interpret and interrogate product datasheets, certification and general spreadsheet data.
• Excellent communication written and verbal, with ability to multi-task and keen eye for detail.
• Competent with Microsoft Office applications and general IT proficient.
• Forklift licence (counter‑balance and reach truck) not essential; training will be given.

Employment details

Contract, hours Mon–Fri 8.30am–4.30pm, pay £18.18–21.98 per hour PAYE, up to December 2026 with potential extension.
