If you are a fully qualified train driver with at least 3 years of productive train driving experience and hold a European Train Driving Licence, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
Responsibilities
Drive trains across the CrossCountry network covering about 1,400 miles and calling at over 100 stations from Aberdeen to Penzance. Deliver safe, punctual, high‑standard service and act as the technical and operations specialist on the team. Maintain an excellent safety record, provide outstanding customer service, and adapt to a variety of shift patterns which may require flexibility and lodging.
Qualifications
- European Train Driving Licence.
- At least 3 years of productive train‑driving experience.
- Must not apply until having occupied current post for 3 years after completion of training, examination and route learning.
- Required to complete a full medical examination, substance‑abuse screening, and obtain a DBS check.
- Excellent safety record and passion for the railway industry.

- Competitive starting salary: £65,402pa for experienced drivers without core routes and traction; £71,367pa with core routes and traction; £77,334pa after 1 year of service.
