Position Description & Qualifications
Serco is hiring several skilled professionals to support the U.S. Navy and its Naval Ships as part of the CTII program in Newport News, Virginia. The role involves providing cabling, equipment, and C5ISR system installations while fabricating and assembling electromechanical and electronic assemblies, applying appropriate safety techniques.
You will work closely with the customer and other Serco team members to deliver high‑technology performed on the CTII program.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
- Shipboard or shipyard experience or a related field.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
- The ability to gain access to shipyards (NAVSTA & DBIDS).
- The ability to work onsite five days a week.
- The ability to obtain any required certifications.
- Experience in one of the following areas:
- Engineering Technician experience ranging from 2‑10 years.
- Mechanical Assembler experience ranging from 2‑10 years.
- Welder experience ranging from 5‑10 years.
- Attention to safety (which is critical).
- Willingness to travel up to 10% to various work sites.
Additional Desired Experience and Skills
- An active DoD Secret clearance.
- OSHA certification.
