Personal Assistant / Support Worker (Female)

Hours: 14.25 hrs per week.

Shifts: Mon – Fri (3–5 days per week). Earliest start around 1:00 PM, latest finish at 6:00 PM.

Rate of pay (ROP): £13.45 per hour.

Job Details

Provide support to a young woman with a physical disability living in her own home. She uses a wheelchair.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, including showering (present during fall risk times), hair washing, dressing and occasional application of creams.
• Assist with medication, cooking and meal preparation.
• Assist with medical aids and related tasks.
• Support the client as needed; additional tasks may arise. Hours may vary, and sometimes a start as early as 8 AM may be required if the employer has an appointment.

Experience / Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with physical disabilities or in support work is preferred.
• Must provide two references (one of which must be a current or most recent employer) and undergo a New PVG Disclosure at the employer’s cost. (PVG will be for Adults & Children).
• The position is subject to a six‑month probationary period.
