Year 5 Teacher – Full‑time Maternity Cover (September 2026 – July 2027)

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Year 5 Teacher for a full‑time maternity cover at a Primary School in Chatham. The role starts in September 2026 and runs until the end of the academic year.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver the Year 5 curriculum.
  • Ensure the cohort receives appropriate support and challenge.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Liaise with parents/guardians about student progress and development.

Requirements

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK.
  • Experience as a Year 5 teacher or KS2 experience desirable but not essential.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS (DBS on the update service highly desirable).
  • Right to work in the UK.
