Class 1 or Class 2 HGV Driver (Leeds)

Role Overview

We areseekinga professional and safety-focused Class 1 or 2 HGV Driver to join our team in Leeds. The successful candidate willbe responsible forthe safe and efficient delivery of goods to customers, ensuring full compliance with road traffic legislation and company procedures.

This is a multi-drop delivery role.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out multi-drop deliveries in a safe,timelyand professional manner.
• Ensure all deliveries are unloaded safely at customer premises and thatproofs ofdeliveriesare signed and returned promptly.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks prior to use and ensure vehicles aremaintainedin a clean,safeand roadworthy condition.
• Verify load security and correct weight distribution before departure and after each drop, in line with current safe working practices.
• Follow fuel-efficient driving practices.
• Identifyand report potential health and safety hazards proactively.

Requirements

• Valid HGV licence for theappropriate vehicleclass.
• Valid Driver CPC (DCPC).
• Previousexperience within a warehousing,steelor distribution environment.
• Good understanding ofhealth,safetyandenvironmental (EHS) requirements within a warehouse,steelor distribution setting.
• Ability to read and interpret written instructions and accurately complete required documentation.
• Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn internal systems.
• Experience working within a flexible, results-oriented team environment.
