Multi-Skilled CNC Machinist

Overview

EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer located in Nottingham. The company is currently looking for a CNC Machinist to join on a permanent basis.

• Stability / Longevity: Permanent
• Hourly Rate: Circa £15 – £18 per hour
• Hours: Double days – 6–2 Mon to Thu, 6–1 Fri / 2–10 Mon to Thu, 1–8 Fri (37.5 hour week)

Your Responsibilities Include

• Setting, operating, and editing CNC machines using Fanuc and Mazatrol controls
• Machining small to medium‑size, complex components using materials such as plastic
• Working from engineering drawings
• Working on multiple setups per day to produce components for various precision engineering sectors

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist
• Confident working with Fanuc or Mazatrol controls
• Experience setting, operating, and editing multi‑axis CNC machines
• Previous experience machining complex parts for precision industries including Aerospace, Motorsport, Nuclear, MOD, Oil & Gas, etc.
• Experience machining plastics desirable, or previously machined metals
• Experience with machining to tight tolerances
