Supplier Compliance Engineer

Location: Gloucestershire or Remote (South East)

As a Supplier Compliance Engineer at Ontic, you will ensure the global supply chain meets the highest aerospace standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier audits and support onboarding and qualification activities.
• Investigate and resolve supplier‑related quality issues, ensuring containment and root‑cause analysis.
• Carry out source inspections at supplier sites to verify product conformity before shipment.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and influence internal stakeholders, driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.
• Travel regularly to supplier sites (up to 80% of time).

Qualifications

• Strong experience in supplier quality, compliance, or manufacturing within regulated aerospace (or similar) industry.
• Deep understanding of AS9100 and hands‑on experience conducting audits and managing quality issues to resolution.
• Self‑confident and independent in field work, with ability to influence and collaborate internally.
• Proficient in recognised root‑cause analysis methods and able to produce detailed reports.
• Flexible to travel extensively, including internationally.
• Relevant engineering qualification and Lead Auditor certification are highly advantageous.
