We are looking for a confident activity coordinator with a passion for delivering outstanding care. You’ll be working 32 hours a week on a 7‑day rota basis days only, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Taunton.
Main duties of the job
Support patients in developing and maintaining a range of activities and hobbies. Encourage and facilitate participation in therapy programmes and recreational events. Work collaboratively with the Occupational Therapist and other interdisciplinary team members to enhance overall care and recovery.

Job Responsibilities
- Encourage patients to access and become involved in a variety of activities, including maintaining any pre‑existing hobbies.
- Plan and implement therapy programmes while ensuring appropriate materials are obtained.
- Contribute ideas and facilitate events and activities in a safe manner.
Salary and Working Hours
£13.45 per hour, 32 hours per week across a 7‑day rota.

Requirements
- Academic credentials strong candidate.
- Experience and/or a passion for working in healthcare and with learning disabilities.
- Knowledge of Occupational Therapy (desirable).
- Creative flair and ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Awareness of recovery approaches and social inclusion (desirable).
- UK driving licence (essential).
- Contracted hours: 32hrs.
- Successful candidates required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
